Installing Cisco Webex Meetings

UConn faculty, staff, and students may install the older Webex app if they are having issues with the newer “Webex App”

This guide will help you install the application that has been replaced by the Webex App. Follow this guide if you have been instructed to do so by a technician.

If you instead want to newer application, install the new Webex app by following this guide:

  1. Click on a link below to download the Webex Meetings installer

    1. Windows installer

    2. macOS (Intel Chip)

    3. macOS (M1 Chip)

  2. Open the installer file when it finishes downloading.

  3. Enter your UConn email when prompted to enter an email address.

  4. If you are asked which Webex site you would like to use, enter “uconn-cmr.webex.com” This important step will connect you to the UConn Webex system and ensure your computer does not have the limitations associated with using a free account.

  5. Sign in using your NetID and NetID password.

  6. If you are prompted to confirm your login using Duo, please do so.
