UConn supports communication and collaboration among its community by providing and protecting individual email accounts and delivering services that enable business functions.

Institutional email accounts for faculty and staff are intended for business purposes. Emails and attachments sent from or received in your university email account are considered public records that are subject to disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

All university email service operates through Microsoft Outlook. Previous systems such as HuskyMail and Google Workspace are no longer being used.
