Webex Stage and Synchronizing your View to All
Using the Webex Desktop App, users can create a “Stage” in which they can rearrange the Participants and keep certain Participants visible on screen. Hosts can create a Stage and then push that view layout to all other Participants. Hosts can also push this layout and then lock it to ensure the Participants stay in the Stage view. Otherwise, Participants may leave the Stage view after the Host has pushed it to everyone or create their own Stage.
There is no pre-meeting setup required.
Begin the Webex session and wait for others to join.
Once others have joined the session, the Layout button will appear.
Click on Layout and change the view to Stack (or Side by Side).
Find the Participant that you would like to highlight, and click on the vertical ellipsis button in the top-right corner of their video window. Click on Move to stage.
Repeat with more participants if necessary.
Click on Layout again. Click on Sync my stage for everyone. You will be prompted if you would like to Lock attendee view on stage only. This will prevent Participants from changing their view layout.
Use this tool to ensure all Participants have the same exact view. If you have interpreters or other special guests you may want to use this tool.
You may notice that the Active Speaker is automatically placed on the stage along with the Participants that you have manually added. To remove the Active Speaker from the stage, click on Layout and uncheck Show active speaker in stage.
To stop syncing the Stage, or to unlock the Stage so that Participants can change their view if they wish, click once more on the Layout button.
