Hiding or Showing Content
This article is for faculty and staff seeking information regarding hiding content from students in HuskyCT.
Content that is “not available” cannot be seen by Students and will not be visible to the instructor when “Edit Mode” is off.
Display After / Display Until Settings
The Display Settings can be found on most tools and content/tests within HuskyCT.
For assignments and tools, locate the gray drop-down arrow next to the respective name of the content. Select Edit.
Scroll down to the Availability section.
Selecting dates for Display After will make that assignment/tool appear after the entered dates. Ensure the box is checked.
Using Display Until will make an assignment/tool disappear from a student's view after the entered dates. Ensure the box is checked.
Before submitting the new settings, Make the assignment Available must be selected as well. The assignment/tool will still appear according to the entered dates as long as that box is selected. Without it, the assignment/tool will never appear to the students.
It is possible to use one setting without the other. If you want the assignment/tool to appear immediately, leave Display After unchecked. You can still set Display Until independently.
Display After/Until for Tests
Similar settings are used for the test option. Locate the gray drop-down arrow next to the name of the test, and select Edit the Test Options.
Under the section Test Availability, ensure that Make available for students is selected. This needs to be checked if you are settings dates for a later time or the test will never appear.
This setting will not make the test appear immediately as long as you have dates set. If you do not have dates set, the test will appear.
Using the image above, locate the Display After/Until Settings under the same section.
Set any dates and times accordingly, but make sure that the box next to Display is checked if you are using that respective setting.
Select submit in the bottom right-hand side of HuskyCT.
