Make a HuskyCT Course Private

Making a course “private” is a setting that prevents students from accessing the course. There are two ways to quickly enable, or disable this option.

Option One:

  1. Log in to HuskyCT.

  2. Go to Courses tab.

  3. On the right-hand side of the course listing, click the 3 dots.

  4. From the drop-down options, select Make Course Private. A padlock and the word “Private” will now appear under the course title.

  5. To re-open the course, click the 3 dots again, and then select Open Course.

Do not click “Hide Course”. This will hide the course from only your view and does not affect student access to the course.

Option Two:

  1. Log in to HuskyCT, and enter the course you wish to make private.

  2. From the top right area of the course, click on the unlocked lock icon.

  3. This will make the course “unavailable” or private.

  4. To reopen the course or make it “available”, click the lock icon again.
