Adding the Perusall Tool in HuskyCT
This article is for instructors using Perusall in their HuskyCT courses. This article includes instructions on how to set up a Perusall account through HuskyCT and instructions on how to make Perusall accessible to students in HuskyCT.
Part 1: Activating Your Perusall Instructor Account
Log in to HuskyCT and navigate to the HuskCT course that will be using Perusall.
At the top of the left side course menu, click the “+” icon and then click Tool link.
From the Tools list, select Perusall.
If you are a first-time Perusall user, check your UConn email for an account activation message and, if applicable, follow the directions in the email to confirm your account.
After your Perusall account has been created, you can return to Perusall to add course materials and assignments by clicking on the same Perusall link in the course menu.
Part 2: Adding Perusall Links in Course Content Areas
Log in to HuskyCT, click on the appropriate HuskyCT course, and navigate to the course content area that you would like students to use to access Perusall.
In the course content area, click on Build Content and then Perusall
You may be asked to merge your account for the first setup. If so, you will an email with a Confirm and Merge Button, click that button and then re-launch the link in HuskyCT
You will be brought to your new Perusall Course, where you can either build or copy your content.
