Check Blackboard Course Quota
Blackboard courses come with an 8 GB storage quota. Use the below steps to see how much you have used.
Viewing the Current Usage and Limit
Log into Blackboard and go to your course.
Under Content Collection, click on the Course ID.
At the top of the screen, click the small dropdown arrow next to the course ID.
Click Edit Settings from the menu that appears.
Once the Edit Settings page appears, scroll down to the Quota Information section. Here, you can see the current size, quota, and how much space is left.
What To Do if You Have Used Up your Quota
Delete Large Files
Log into Blackboard and go to your course.
Under Content Collection, click on the Course ID.
At the top of the screen, click the small dropdown arrow next to the course ID.
Click Size twice to sort by size.
Check the boxes next to the files you wish to delete. Generally, the largest files will be videos, which can be moved into Kaltura. Duplicate files are another common issue leading to the course quota being used up.
Click Delete. Make sure that the files being deleted are either backed up or unnecessary, as deleting them from the content collection will remove them from your course.
Move Videos to Kaltura
Log into Blackboard and go to your course.
Under Content Collection, click on the Course ID.
At the top of the screen, click the small drop-down arrow next to the course ID.
Click the down arrow next to the video you wish to download.
Click Download Package.
Check the box next to the video once it's downloaded, and then click Delete.
Follow this guide to upload the video to Kaltura.
