Use Reflect in Teams
Build a strong classroom community by making social emotional learning a part of your routine.
Reflect is available to Class teams; you must have created your team using the “Class” template.
Visit the Reflect app
You may also use Reflect independent of a team by visiting reflect.microsoft.com.
Open Teams
Either open the Teams application or navigate to https://teams.microsoft.com and sign in with your UConn email address and NetID password.
Once signed in, look in the left-hand menu for the Teams tab. Click on this icon to view all of your teams.
Navigate to your desired class (team), then select the Reflect tab.
Viewing Reflect
The home page of Reflect is your Check-ins. Select any check-in to see how students have responded.
Create a new Check-in
To create a new Check-in, click on + New check-in.
Choose your desired question or create a custom one.
Click on Settings to further customize this check-in.
Set the visibility: either only members of the team, or public to the world.
Choose the duration and response options.
Choose whether to record the names of responders and whether to share the results with members of the team.
Click on the X or click back on the check-in window to close the settings window.
Click Create check-in to post your question.
Viewing responses
If you have chosen anonymous responses, you must wait for at least 3 responses before they are shown to the team.
Click on an existing Check-in to view the results.
You will see some monsters standing in a stadium. This is a quick, color-coded, visual representation of the responses.
Click on the ellipsis to view more options. From here, you have a more data-driven view using the Responses distribution view or you can save your current screen as an image.
Clicking on Copy view will place a screenshot of the whole window into your clipboard for you to paste somewhere else.
