Scan Documents into OneDrive with a Mobile Device

With the OneDrive app on your mobile device, you can scan documents, whiteboards, business cards, or photos.

  1. In the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, download the OneDrive app.

  2. In the OneDrive app, tap on the camera icon near the bottom of the screen.

  3. Swipe right to select either Whiteboard, Document, Business Card, or Photo depending on what you wish to scan. This selection will help OneDrive to automatically crop the image for you.

  4. To retake the scan, tap the left arrow icon in the upper left corner to delete the scan.

  5. Once scanned, options will appear to crop, rotate, add text, or highlight sections.

  6. Once you have completed editing, tap Done.

  7. Enter a file name.

  8. Tap Save.

These files will save to the “top-level” of your OneDrive. They will be sitting in your OneDrive folder, not in a subfolder in your OneDrive.

Files are automatically saved as PDFs with the date and time as their file name. They can be renamed.
