Webex Will Not Share PDF File

When using the Share Content option of "Share File" in Windows, you might run into the following error message:

This error is caused by an inappropriate file type association. This association likely will not cause problems with programs other than Webex and can be fixed in a way that will not affect other programs.

  1. Go to the file location of the PDF that you are trying to share.

  2. Right-click on the PDF.

  3. Click on Open with... or Open with (you will see the choice with the ellipsis or without the ellipsis).

    1. Open with... will open the popup window. Continue to Step 4.

    2. Open with will open a side menu. Click on Choose another app.

  4. In the pop-up window, check the box that says Always use this app to open .pdf files.

  5. Choose Adobe Acrobat Reader DC.

  6. Click OK.

    click ok

  7. Share the file in Webex once more.
