Finding the Version of Outlook Installed

Faculty and staff may need to see what version of Outlook they are using on their workstation. This information may be needed for troubleshooting with IT support.

These instructions below are for Windows and macOS. View the Microsoft article for instructions for iPhones, Android devices, and web browsers.

Windows

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook.

  2. Click File and select Office Account.

  3. Click About Outlook.

  4. This screen will show you the version of Outlook you are on.

macOS

  1. Open Outlook.

  2. Click Microsoft Outlook in the menu bar next to the Apple logo.

  3. Click About Outlook.

  4. The version information will appear in a new window.
