Use Image Tags in SharePoint

Students, faculty, and staff can use the “Image Tags” field for picture files and non-picture files alike.

Following this guide, users can type anything into the Tags field. If you would instead like to have preset Tags that users can choose from, please follow the Use Tags in SharePoint guide.

Follow this guide to tag files. If you need to tag folders as well, please follow the Use Tags in SharePoint guide.

  1. Visit s.uconn.edu/sharepoint and click on your SharePoint site to visit it.

  2. Click on Documents, or other Document Library, to find the file(s) you would like to tag and select them.

  3. Right-click on the files and choose Properties.

  4. Type in the word(s) you would like to use as a tag in the Image Tags field. Hit Enter after each tag.

  5. Click Save to finish.

  6. Allow time for these tags to take effect.
