Giving Feedback to Students

Feedback can be given to students on any work the student submits that can be graded. To learn how to give feedback on assignments and exams follow the steps below.

Feedback on Assignments

  1. Navigate to your Course > Grade Center > Needs Grading.

  2. From Needs Grading, click on a User Attempt to start grading.

  3. From the grading page, there will be a blue drop-down menu to the right of the grading page. Click the blue drop-down arrow to display the feedback to learner box.

  4. This will bring up the option to give feedback to learner.

  5. You can save as draft for later or submit the feedback. Students can view it in My Grades.

Adding Media into the Feedback Section

If you would like to give the students feedback in the form of a separate document or video recording select the Open Full Content Editor button in the textbox.

Feedback on Exams

  1. Navigate to your course > Grade Center > Needs Grading.

  2. Select the student's exam attempt you would like to grade. 

  3. The bottom of the exam attempt will have two text boxes.To give feedback to the student, add your comments in the Feedback to Learner section.

  4. Submit.

Adding Feedback to a Multiple Choice Exam

If the exam was fully multiple-choice, HuskyCT will automatically grade the exam. If you would like to provide comments to students on the multiple-choice exam you will need to view the attempt in the full grade center.

  1. Navigate to Grade Center > Full Grade Center.

  2. Select the down arrow to the right of the exam grade.

  3. Select the attempt in the drop-down menu.

  4. Follow steps 3-4 under the Giving Feedback on Exams section.

  5. Repeat steps 2-4 for other students.
