Unlink a Sync'd SharePoint site

If you have previously used the Sync tool to connect you computer to a SharePoint site, you may unsync the site at any time.

This guide applies to the Sync function of SharePoint. If you have instead used the Add Shortcut to OneDrive tool, follow this guide Unlink a SharePoint site from your OneDrive,

Unlink a site

  1. Click on the OneDrive cloud icon on your desktop to open the OneDrive App.

    1. If you’re using Windows, check the bottom right corner in your taskbar for the blue cloud icon.

    2. If you’re using macOS, check the top of your screen in your menu bar for the cloud icon.

  2. Click on the settings gear and then Settings.

  3. Click on the Account tab if you are not brought there automatically.

  4. Click on Stop sync to remove this SharePoint site from your computer.
