Event Titles are how you catch the community’s attention and make a first impression. Here are some rules and tips for writing event titles:

  • When possible, keep your event title under 8 words.

  • Select keywords that quickly communicate what your event is about.

  • Remember that thousands of users are viewing the Events Calendar daily, so write your title with all UConn audiences in mind. Some may be interested in your event, and others may not, but it’s your job to convey enough information that they can make that evaluation.

  • 1-word titles are rarely useful.

  • DO NOT USE ALL CAPS. It makes us feel like you’re yelling at us.
