Navigate the System as an Administrator

Only Available to Calendar Admins

There are a few ways that calendar administrators will move through the backend of UConn’s Events Calendar.

Dashboard

When you log in, you will be brought to the Dashboard in the center of your screen where you can:

  • Manage events – both those that you create and those that are submitted to your calendar for consideration

  • Manage RSVPs if you use the event registration feature

  • Review or upload images to your calendar

  • View and manage locations

  • Upload or view files that have been attached to events

  • Manage your calendar’s tags (if applicable)

The Dashboard appears in the center of your screen with tabs to navigate to key admin tools.

Toolbar

At the top of your screen, the Toolbar is the other primary way you will move through the backend of the Events Calendar.

The Toolbar shows admins what Group (Calendar) they are currently viewing. It also allows you to view your calendar, add a new event, or navigate to the Toolbox.
  • Wondering what Group/Calendar you’re in? Just check the Toolbar.

  • If you administer more than one calendar, you can switch between Groups/Calendars by clicking on the area that says Your Group: [Calendar Name Here]. A dropdown will appear with the Groups that you have access to.

  • Click the yellow [New] to create an event.

  • Click [Toolbox] as an alternate way to navigate to key tools. Some options in the Toolbox will vary depending on your level of admin access.
