Enabling Xerox Staple Function on MacOS

You can enable the staple feature on a Xerox printer when printing from a MacOS device.

These instructions were created using a MacBook Pro, macOS Ventura 13.0.1, printing a PDF file to a Xerox Altalink C8045 with stapling finish and uses the Adobe Reader App as an example.

Your experience may vary depending on your device, Apps, or Xerox printer model and drivers.

  1. Open your Adobe PDF file.

  2. Click Print from the File menu.

  3. Select a printer with stapling capability.

  4. Click Printer from the lower lefthand corner of the window (this function may be found in a different location depending on your OS and print driver version).

  5. If this popup appears, click Yes.

  6. Click Printer Options.

  7. From the dropdown menu, click Printer Features (You may have to scroll down to find Printer Features).

  8. A popup window will appear. Set the following feature settings:

    1. Finishing: Stapling

    2. Stapling: 1, 2, or 3 Staple

    3. Staple Location: top left or multiple choice

  9. Click OK.

The printing function has been enabled.

To exit out of the menus, click Print, Print.
