Gravity Form

Gravity Forms is a WordPress plugin used to build simple online forms to collect information (e.g., service requests, contact information, applications).

Gravity Forms on Aurora should not be used to collect private or sensitive information such as Date of Birth, Social Security Number, etc. For personal information, use Qualtrics or Office 365 Form instead. Contact webdev@uconn.edu if you need guidance on deciding which product to use.

Only Site Administrators by default can access the Gravity Forms plugin.  Administrators can allow Editors by updating the setting within a site at: Dashboard > Settings > General > Gravity Form Access.  Once logged into your site dashboard, click on Forms to see the options.

(See Aurora WordPress Training.)

Gravity Forms provides merge tags that allow you to dynamically populate fields in forms using information about a user logged into your website. In order to use information about a user completing your form, the page your form is on should be private. This feature can be useful if, for example, you want to set up a newsletter subscription form. Using merge tags, you can auto-fill the name and email address of a user.
