Searching for Text in OneNote
If you are trying to find a certain section of notes but are not sure which notebook it is in, then you can search for a key phrase across all of your OneNote notebooks.
Searching for a Key Phrase
Sign in to office.com.
In the sidebar to the left, select the purple OneNote icon.
In the search bar at the top, type in the key phrase you would like to find in your Notebooks.
To narrow your search to OneNote, click on File Type next to filters and select OneNote.
Click Apply.
To narrow the time frame, click Last modified and select a date range.
Click Apply dates.
In the search results, click on the desired OneNote to be brought directly to the page with that text.
