ConfigMgr: Security Roles (Custom)

This article provides a technical overview of custom security roles that have been created for Microsoft System Center Configuration Management Console (ConfigMgr) at UCONN.

Level 1 Access

Level 1 Access grants permissions to perform remote control, read-only access to objects (e.g. inventory, reports).

Level 2 Access

Level 2 Access grants all permissions included in Level 1 Access, as well as permissions to perform Application Creation/Modification/Deletion, Script Creation/Modification/Deletion, and Query Creation/Modification/Deletion. 

Level 3 Access

Level 3 Access grants all permissions included in Level 1 Access and Level 2 Access, as well as permissions to manage operating system deployment and software updates.
