Follow these instructions to login to a university managed Mac computer for the first time.

As of May 2024 all new Mac computers and Mac computers reimaged by ITS use JAMF Connect.

  Before you begin you must have an internet connection and access to Duo 2FA.

 

  1. Enter your UConn email address and select “Next”.  

  1. Enter your UConn password and select “Sign in”.  

  1. You will receive a Duo 2FA prompt on your phone, etc. Approve the Duo prompt on your mobile device.  

  1. Agree to the domain trust message, “Do you trust uconn.edu ?”, click “Continue”. 

You may be asked to login twice, this is normal.

 

Logging in without an internet connection:  

This is only intended to be used after you have successfully logged into the Mac for the first time while connected to the network/internet.

In the event you do not have an active internet connection select, “Local login”, and enter the last successful logon (your UConn email address and password). The system will use the last set of cached credentials for access. If you have never signed on to this device before, you must connect the device to the internet for initial logon.
