Jamf Self Service
Jamf Self Service+ is a customized app store that provides access to specific apps and services at UConn. The apps and resources available in the app can vary depending on the device and user.
Jamf is a mobile device management solution that UConn uses to provide enterprise-level management for university-owned Apple devices. It enforces data and computing policies, distributes software, and enables access to certain systems with your UConn credentials. macOS
Self Service+ may not appear right away after your first time signing into your new Mac. If after an hour of use the application still has not appeared, reach out to your IT support.
Go to the Applications folder and search for the "Self Service+" app. If you do not see the Self Service+ app in the Applications folder, then the computer is not being managed by Jamf. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact your departmental IT support.
If your device is managed by Jamf and you delete the Self Service app, it will get automatically reinstalled after the device's next Inventory Update.
iOS
The app should appear as one of the apps installed on the device.
Not all Jamf-managed iOS devices will have the Self Service app installed on them depending on how they are deployed. For example, iOS devices configured as a kiosk (locked to one app) will not have the Self Service app available on them.
If your device is managed by Jamf and you delete the Self Service app, it will get automatically reinstalled after the device's next Inventory Update.
