Fix Wireless Issues After Windows Update KB5033375

Computers running Windows 11 may experience issues connecting to the UCONN-SECURE and eduroam wireless networks after installing Windows Update KB5033375. This is an issue affecting users across several institutions and is not isolated to UConn. Users experiencing issues can roll back this update to restore connectivity until Microsoft addresses the issue.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Settings → Windows Update → Update history.

  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Uninstall updates.

  3. Find KB5033375. Select Uninstall and confirm.

  4. After the process is complete, restart your computer.

As this issue is broad and affecting multiple institutions outside of UConn, Microsoft will most likely provide a fix for this issue down the road. Keep an eye out for future updates that get recommended for your device by Windows Update.
