Error 80180014 When Installing Microsoft 365

Faculty, staff, and students may run into Error Code: 80180014 when installing Microsoft 365 apps on their personal devices.

Cause

ITS has disabled a feature that presents itself during the installation of Microsoft 365 apps on personal and university-owned devices. The purpose of this feature is to integrate the computer into UConn's institutional computer management system. This functionality is not suitable for personal devices and may lead to user issues if their devices become enrolled.

Although this feature has been deactivated, you may still have the option to enroll your device in UConn's management system. If you choose not to opt out of this feature, you will encounter the following error:

Fix

During the installation process, do not check the Allow my organization to manage my device. Instead, click on No, sign into this app only.
