Accessing a Teams Meeting Recap

If a Teams meeting is recorded, a Meeting Recap will be created. The “recap” will include details such as the transcript, meeting attendees, and a recording itself.

The live transcription tool is a feature of the recorder; the meeting must be recorded in order to use the transcription tool.

Meeting Recap

  1. During your meeting, click on the ellipsis labeled as More, then click on Record and transcribe, and then click on Start recording.

  2. If you would like to transcribe your meeting as well, again click on the ellipsis labeled as More, then click on Record and transcribe, and then click on Start recording.
    The transcription tool generates live captions that appear on the screen as well as creating a complete transcription of the meeting.

  3. Once the Recording and Transcription are running, the Recap receive information.

  4. After your meeting is complete, click on the Calendar icon on the left sidebar of Teams.

  5. Double click on the meeting in your calendar

  6. In the Details tab, you can view the meeting recording, transcript, notes, and attendance. Click on one to view it in more detail.

  7. Click on Attendance to download all meeting attendees in an Excel file.
