Single-Line Telephones
ITS provides support for University-issued single-line telephones. Single-line telephones are the basic type that many users might see in their homes. It consists of a handset, a base on which to rest the handset, and a keypad. Most of the features included on a single-line phone can be accessed by typing in commands from the keypad that will most likely begin with either the * or the # keys.
Faculty, students, and staff can operate single-line telephones and use them to place different types of calls, including conference calls, to specific entities.Â
Single-line phones do not operate in the same way as multi-line phones. Single-line phones require a single-line phone jack; multi-line phones will not work with a single-line phone jack.Â
