Conference Services for Polycom Speakerphones

This article explains how to use the conferencing capabilities on Polycom speakerphones provided by ITS through Verizon Business.
As an alternative, you can use Webex as a phone bridge. There is no charge to use this service.
Verizon Business is the contracted provider for additional conference services beyond the three-way and six-way conference calling features provided by ITS. To request conference services with Verizon Business,
Have your billing telephone number ready.
Contact Verizon Business at 1-800-475-5000.
Identify yourself as a State of Connecticut employee.
Explain your conference call needs. (The most common service used is "instant meeting"; however, Verizon Business can help you determine what is best.)
Provide Verizon Business with UConn's agency and authorization codes. UConn's agency code is 7301, and the authorization code is 2180337.
Please schedule your conference call at least 24 hours in advance.
Additionally, please note that any conference that has 2 or fewer participants and is not Operator Assisted will prompt Verizon supervision to request that the meeting organizer press *1 to retain the conference bridge. This request will be made after 90 minutes.
