Jamf Self Service
If your Mac computer and/or iOS device are managed by Jamf you may have access to the Jamf Self Service app. Self Service contains applications and resources that are available to your specific device. The apps and resources available in the Self Service app can vary across device types and users accessing the app.
Jamf is a mobile device management solution that UConn uses to provide enterprise-level management for university-owned Apple devices. It enforces data and computing policies, distributes software, and enables access to certain systems with your UConn credentials.
macOS
Go to the Applications folder and search for the "Self Service" app. If you do not see the Self Service app in the Applications folder, then the computer is not being managed by Jamf. If you believe this is a mistake, please contact your departmental IT support.
If your device is managed by Jamf and you delete the Self Service app, it will get automatically reinstalled after the device's next Inventory Update.
iOS
The app should appear as one of the apps installed on the device.
Not all Jamf managed iOS devices will have the Self Service app installed on them depending on how they are deployed. For example, iOS devices configured as a kiosk (locked to one app) will not have the Self Service app available on them.
If your device is managed by Jamf and you delete the Self Service app, it will get automatically reinstalled after the device's next Inventory Update.
