Adding the Discussion Board to the Navigation Menu

This article is for instructors who wish to add the discussion board to the navigation menu to allow students to use the discussion board tool.

In order for students to be able to access and use the Discussion Board, instructors must add it to the navigation menu. Edit Mode must be turned on. This button is found at the upper right of your screen when inside a course site where you are the instructor

  1. Click the + icon in the upper left-hand corner of the navigation menu.

  2. Click on Tool Link.

  3. Enter "Discussion Board" as the tool name, and then choose Discussion Board using the drop-down menu.

  4. Check the box for Available to Users, and then click Submit.
