Replacements for Google Sites
If you’ve been using Google Sites through your UConn account and need a replacement, this page provides an overview of the most common replacement options available.
 SharePoint
SharePoint sites are intranet sites (private to UConn users) with features like Document libraries, site widgets, and more. A SharePoint site is a great alternative to Google Sites for:
Sites for collaboration, communication, and shared resources
Sites for UConn community members as audience (e.g., site visitors have a UConn login)

SharePoint sites cannot be opened to public web traffic.
 Aurora (WordPress)
WordPress sites are internet sites that can be accessed on the public internet or restricted to UConn users. A WordPress site is a great alternative to Google Sites for:
Sites for communication or distributing resources, but without focus on collaboration
Sites for the general public (e.g., visitors without a UConn login)
