Duo Mobile two-factor authentication is required for all NetIDs. Here is a list of frequently asked questions and answers that will help guide you through the enrollment process.

Some phones, such as those manufactured by Huawei, cannot access Google Play Services, which includes the Play Store. To bypass this limitation, please follow these instructions from the Duo website to learn how to sideload the app onto your phone. This will replace the step where you install Duo Mobile from the Google Play Store.

This process only works for phones running the Android operating system. iPhones cannot sideload apps.

No, following the enrollment steps at its.uconn.edu/duo will not require a US phone number. Most international numbers are supported.

No, dual-SIM phones can use Duo Mobile as normal.
