Deister Key Cabinet - Software Setup

The server contains a web interface for remote browser-based access. If the firewall is opened between the keybox server and another computer, then the user can access the browser-based administration portal from their local machine. 

Commander Administration Software 

The Commander install process should add the SQL Server Express database as well. 

Obtain the Commander license from Deister, and if it is to be integrated with Genetec, ensure that the version is compatible with the Genetec plugin. 

Genetec Management and Integration 

Integration with Genetec allows user access to keys and the key cabinet by Genetec instead of having to maintain access separately in Deister Commander. The Genetec plugin and license have to match a compatible version of Deister Commander. Verify versions of both software before purchasing licenses. 

The Deister web services module allows Deister to allow bi-directional communication with Genetec to happen. This is included with the Deister regular license. 

A Genetec plugin is required to be installed on the Genetec server, and a license is required for it. Minuteman Security performed configuration on the Genetec server including installation of the plugin. 

A different Genetec plugin needs to be installed on every client machine that connects to the Genetec server as well.
