The University is pursuing alternative options for television services and is no longer activating new connections.
Requirements for HuskyVision
To set up HuskyVision for your classroom or department, you need:
A cable-ready TV. If the TV is not cable ready, you need a cable-ready DVD/media device.
A coaxial cable to connect the TV to the HuskyVision faceplate (the faceplate with only a coax outlet).
There is only one TV connection per dorm room. If the outlet is located across the room or in a less than optimum location, route the coaxial connection cable behind furniture as needed.
A second coaxial cable if you are connecting a DVD/media device to the TV.
Coaxial cable connectors are available at the UConn Bookstore.
HuskyVision Pricing
Activation Fee - One Time Charge: $65.00
Basic Service - Monthly Charge: $12.00 per connection
Public Access Service - Monthly Charge: $65.00 per connection
