LockDown Browser Error: Virtual Moose

Sometimes, immediately after launching LockDown Browser, you will see a Virtual Moose / Virtual Machine warning page.

If you receive this message immediately at the start of a LockDown Browser session, it indicates that either customizations were made to your current computer’s BIOS settings or you are using a virtual machine.

  • If changes were made to your computer’s BIOS, either revert back to factory default settings if you are comfortable doing so, or seek assistance from a computer technology support group.

  • If you are using a virtual machine, switch to another computer.
