Creating a Gradebook Calculation in Ultra Course View
This article is intended for instructors looking to create a Gradebook Calculation in Ultra Course View.

Instructors can use Functions to build calculations and combine functions using operators.
Functions
Average- Returns the average for the selected Gradebook items.
Total- Returns the total points earned relative to the points possible for the selected Gradebook items.
Minimum- Returns the minimum score for the selected Gradebook items.
Maximum- Returns the maximum score for the selected Gradebook items.
Variable- Select an individual Gradebook item to include in the formula.

Divide
Parentheses
Value- Enter a numeric value for use in the formula. At most, the value can contain seven digit before the decimal and four digits after the decimal, however, only two decimal places will be shown to students.
Navigate to your course in Husky CT
On the top navigation menu, click Gradebook.
The next steps will vary depending on your Gradebook view, follow the steps corresponding to your view.
List View:
Hover over the gray line at the location where you want to add the column.
The line will turn purple and a plus sign will appear in the middle. Click the plus sign to see the drop-down menu.
Click Add Calculation.
Table View:
Hover over the gray line at the location where you want to add the column.
The line will turn purple and a plus sign will appear.
Click the plus sign and a drop-down menu will appear.
Click Add Calculation.
A new window will appear where you can create the column.
Give the Column a Name.
Set the Visibility of the Column.
Under Select a Grade Schema, set the desired Grade method.
Optionally, provide a description.
Create the formula used for the calculation. Instructors can select functions and operations from the left hand menu, and set any required options in the main equation panel.
Click Validate to verify the formula is syntactically correct.
Once the formula is Validated, click Save.
