Overview:

HuskyCT Ultra Course View has several tools/features that can be used for communication with students.

  • Instructors can communicate directly with students using Announcements and Messages.

  • The Calendar visually displays due dates and allows instructors to create events.

  • Class conversations can be enabled to open a class-wide communication channel specific to a particular assessment or course content.

Student Communication FAQs:

Students have their own notification settings that allow them to choose whether they receive notifications for announcements / messages or not. To ensure students receive an emailed copy, select the checkbox next to Send an email copy to recipients.

If due dates have been enabled on assignments / assessments / any content with a due date, it will automatically populate within the calendar. You do not have to add due dates within the calendar.

Announcements are intended as one-directional communications that go out to all course users and appear as a pop up for all students when they enter the course. Meanwhile Messages function similarly to emails as a two-directional based communication form.
