What will change during the Kaltura LTI 1.3 migration
This article details the changes that will happen to Kaltura videos when they are migrated from the Building Block integration to the LTI 1.3 integration.
This migration is being performed due to the deprecation of the building block at the Blackboard platform level. Additionally, only Kaltura videos embedded with the LTI 1.3 integration are compatible with Ultra view courses, so this change is being made in preemptive support of the University’s migration to the new course view.
All Kaltura videos will remain in courses, and no data loss is expected. However, your videos that displayed an embedded video player will turn into links with Kaltura icons, as shown in the screenshot below.
If you wish to re-add Kaltura media with the embedded player, use these instructions: Adding Kaltura Videos to HuskyCT.
You will not lose access to your videos as a result of this conversion process.
Common Questions
How do I know if my course has been migrated?
Your course has been migrated if you no longer see embedded Kaltura videos in your course, and instead see the Kaltura logo and a link to your video, as shown in the image below.
