Requesting an eCampus HuskyCT Course Template

Faculty and instructors can request a pre-designed HuskyCT Course development shell.

Overview

Using eCampus HuskyCT (Blackboard) templates may help in building and designing your HuskyCT course. The goal is to provide an organized and student-friendly structure that saves course builders' time and allows more focus on good pedagogy and, ultimately, teaching.

These templates are a base to build upon but will require editing and some basic knowledge of building in HuskyCT. We recommend referring to the resources available on the ITS Knowledge Base, CETL Educational Technologies site, and the Blackboard site. Some of these resources are listed below.

The currently available eCampus templates are:

  • eCampus Template – DIY, Course-0666

  • eCampus Template – Flipped, Course-0648

  • eCampus Template – Blended, Course-0824

Requesting an eCampus Template

  1. If you would like an eCampus template copied into a non-academic HuskyCT course site, you must first request a blank non-course site.

  2. Once your non-course site has been created, complete the HuskyCT Course Restore form. The form has required fields that do not apply to this case. See the photo below.

check development shell to copy content from a previous course
  3. In Name of Development Shell in HuskyCT, enter the template name (ex. eCampus Template – DIY, Course-0666).

  4. Fill out the fields under Target Course Information.

  5. Once the template is copied into your course shell, review each section to read and remove the highlighted Notes to Instructor.
