Use Alert Bulletins
UConn staff can create alert bulletins on Carousel. Below is a how-to video, as well as a written step-by-step.
The purpose of this article is NOT to use the alert feature outlined here as a function of emergency alerts; this is only to display a single bulletin without having the other bulletins be displayed for a pre-determined time.
Creating an Alert Button
- Login to Carousel
- Choose the desired zone for the alert bulletin to be posted in.
- Click New Bulletin.
- Select the desired template from the template options.
- Upload your content to the template.
- Click on the Schedule tab.
- Click the box next to Always Active to change it to No.
- Under Date Availability, set the dates and times you would like this bulletin to be active.
- Click on the Extras tab.
Click the box next to Is this an alert? under Display Settings.
- When ready, click Publish in the top right corner.
