Use Alert Bulletins

UConn staff can create alert bulletins on Carousel. Below is a how-to video, as well as a written step-by-step.

The purpose of this article is NOT to use the alert feature outlined here as a function of emergency alerts; this is only to display a single bulletin without having the other bulletins be displayed for a pre-determined time. 


Creating an Alert Button

  1. Login to Carousel
  2. Choose the desired zone for the alert bulletin to be posted in.
  3. Click New Bulletin.

  4. Select the desired template from the template options.

  5. Upload your content to the template.

  6. Click on the Schedule tab.
  7. Click the box next to Always Active to change it to No.

  8. Under Date Availability, set the dates and times you would like this bulletin to be active.
  9. Click on the Extras tab.
  10. Click the box next to Is this an alert? under Display Settings.

    When this option is checked, this is the only bulletin that will be displayed during the times and days that were set up earlier.

  11. When ready, click Publish in the top right corner.
