Content Transferability From Original To Ultra Course View
Most content in an Original view course will transfer to a native content type when migrated to an Ultra view course. Our experience shows that for most instructors and courses, this is sufficient to migrate and begin working on your new course. There are however, four notable exceptions of Original content types that do not have an equivalent type in Ultra. They are listed below and our recommended workaround is listed next to them
Content That Won’t Transfer
Name in Original | Workaround |
---|---|
Blogs | Create a discussion board to use as a blog |
Wikis | Use a collaborative document |
Surveys | Ultra courses use a tool called “Forms” which is similar to Surveys, but Forms are not anonymous. Anonymous Surveys are currently targeted for an August release. More information can be found on the Blackboard Knowledge Base. |
Kaltura Videos | Most videos will migrate. If you don’t see a specific video after migrating, re-embed the video. |
