Class Collaborate in Ultra Course View
This page is intended for instructors using Collaborate in the Ultra Course View. The Class Collaborate tool comes with a Course Room that allows instructors to hold meetings virtually. The Course Room is always available and anyone within the course can enter at any time. Instructors and students can interact through audio, messaging, and screen sharing.
Getting Started
Navigated to your HuskyCT Course.
The Class Collaborate tool can be found in the Details & Actions menu.
To join the Course Room, Click Join Session, then Course Room.
To access the Collaborate features outlined below, click on the “…”.
The features shown in the above image are:
Get course room guest link: This allows you to create a session allowing guest access.
Edit course room settings: Takes you to where you can set the settings for the course room.
View room report: Contains attendance reports at the end of sessions.
Manage all sessions: Links to Sessions page.
View all recordings: Quick access link to all Collaborate recordings.
Disable course room: Disables Collaborate’s open common use course room.
Adjusting Course Room Settings
Navigate to Class Collaborate and click on the three small dots.
From the drop-down menu, select Manage all Sessions. Instructors can also join their Course Room from this tab.
Locate the Course Room at the top of the page, click on the three dots, and locate Edit Settings.
In the Event Details, instructors can lock the course room, join the course room, access a dial in number and pin, and provide guest access.
To edit the Session Settings, click on the gear icon.
From the settings window, instructors can adjust a variety of settings such as default attendee roles, recording permissions, and participant permissions.
Click Save when complete.
