Test Question Pools in Ultra Course View

This article is intended for instructor looking to create and use Question Pools in Ultra Course View.

Overview

In Ultra Course View, Question Pools is the term used to describe a group of questions that are randomly assigned to students taking an assessment. They are similar to Question Sets or Random Blocks in Original Course View.


Creating a Question Pool

This section assumes you have already created a Test in Ultra Course View. For more information on creating and administering tests, refer to Creating Tests in Ultra Course View

  1. Navigate to your HuskyCT course.

  2. Under Course Content, locate the Assessment you want to add a Question Pool to.

  3. Click on the Assessment.

  4. On the Content and Settings Page for the test, click on the plus sign under ‘Create your assessment’.

  5. From the drop-down menu, click Add Question Pool.

  6. A new window will appear containing all of the questions in the course.

  7. Check the box next to each question you want to include.

  8. Once you have selected all the questions, click Add Questions.

  9. Set the Question Pool Options.

    1. Points each: Set the number of points each question in the pool is worth.

    2. Number of questions to display to students: Set the number of questions to show to each student.

  10. Click Save.
