Uploading Scores to HuskyCT (BlackBoard)

Do you want to help shape the future of bubble sheet scanning at UConn?

ITS is piloting bubble sheet scanning through Gradescope, which may replace Scantron for bubble sheet scanning functionality in the future. Gradescope provides a more convenient scanning solution that does not require expensive and custom scan sheets, and can be managed entirely through HuskyCT.

These instructions are for using the new RBBX files. Limitations for the RBBX file include splitting the results into groups of 75 and identifying students by Peoplesoft ID instead of NetID. ITS has created a web application that will convert your CSV file from Peoplesoft ID to NetID and allow you to adjust grade weighting per question. For more information, see HuskyCT User Guide: How to Upload Scantron (aka “Bubble Sheet”) Grades CSV file instructions.

Instructors who use one of the two new scanners in the library to scan their bubble-sheet exams will be emailed several files, including an rbbx file. This is an xml type file that only has Student IDs (PeopleSoft numbers) and grades.

  1. Go to your course in Blackboard. Under Course Tools, click Remark Grade Import.

  2. Create a new column or choose from existing columns, and click Choose File to upload grades.

  3. If there is a mismatch in StudentID, which may happen with bubble-sheet exams, choose the student from a drop-down menu that only lists the students who do not have a grade, just like a regular grade import to the Grade Center.
