UPrint

UConn's UPrint Program, administered by Information Technology Services (ITS), offers printing solutions for departments through an external partner. This program analyzes document output devices such as copiers, printers, and fax machines to reduce costs, boost efficiency, and promote sustainability.

All service, maintenance, and supply needs (excluding paper) are covered for vendor-owned and managed equipment within the program. Departments are primarily billed for placed devices through a document output fee structure which varies based on your department’s needs.

UPrint Participation

Each department participating in UPrint will undergo an initial assessment to identify their specific printing needs. This assessment helps determine the most suitable equipment and technology to optimize efficiency, productivity, and cost savings. Once completed, the participating vendor(s) will provide a recommendation to ensure that the department is outfitted with the appropriate print output device(s).

UPrint Goals

• Save Money: UPrint helps minimize or eliminate upfront costs for printers and copiers; departments pay a device management fee and for copies that they make monthly

• Boost Efficiency: UPrint standardizes equipment and supplies, streamlining the printing process and making it easier to get support

• Go Green: UPrint uses energy-efficient MFDs, reducing the number of machines needed and lowering energy consumption
