Software Installation Guide

Installation Requirements

Internet access, elevated or administrator’s-level permissions,

• Gephi requires Java 11 or greater

  • As the Gephi installer comes bundled with Java, it is no longer required to download Java from a separate source

Downloading and Installing Gephi

Open

Go to gephi.org/users/download and click the Download Gephi for Windows button.

Open

Navigate to the Downloads folder and double click on the gephi installer.

Click on More info if Windows produces the above PC protection message.

Click Run anyway.

Click on Install for all users (recommended).

Click Yes.

Review the EULA.

Click in the box next to “I accept the agreement.”

Click Next.

Leave the default installation directory.

Click Next.

Click in the boxes next to file extension of the files you plan to analyze. Use the screen capture above as a guide.

Click Next.

Click Install.

Click Finish.
