SAS Support
Please see the FIX section of the attached “SAS 94 with Studio.docx”. If you have applied the fix and continue to experience issues, please continue with these instructions.
School of Business provides support for SAS via these email instructions. The process outlined below and, in the instructions attached, takes about 4 to 5 hours depending on available download speed and a device’s processing power. The process of expanding the software archive and installing the software is processor and storage resource intensive. Interrupting any of the following processes: download, proper archive expansion and software installation will result in significant software errors and require the student to remove SAS, re-download the software archive, expand the archive, and reinstall SAS using the attached instructions and the removal process listed below.
If students experience issues with a local installation of SAS, it is recommended that those students remove SAS from their local device by following these instructions from SAS' website. After removing the application, go to C:\Program files and delete the “SAS Home” directory. Then, download the application archive again from https://resources.business.uconn.edu. Do not reuse an existing download. It may have been corrupted during a previous download or archive expansion, which is the likely cause of previous errors. Follow the installation instructions VERY carefully. This is the primary cause of most SAS related issues.
Please note the last page of the instructions - “If you are unable to install SAS you will be directed to use UConn AnyWare School of Business Desktop.”
