Adding a Kaltura Quiz to a HuskyCT Course

This section assumes that you have already created a Kaltura Quiz. If not, you can do so by following the instructions here: Creating a Kaltura Video Quiz

Kaltura Quizzes are integrated into the Grade Center. Once a Kaltura Quiz has been added to your course, a Grade Center column will automatically be created and student scores will automatically be populated into that column.

Step 1: Adding a Kaltura Quiz in HuskyCT  

  1. Log into HuskyCT.

  2. Enter your course.

  3. Click on the Build Content button.

  4. Select Kaltura Video Quiz.

  5. A new window will appear with the option to select a video quiz that is listed in your My Media tab. Click on the Embed button for the Kaltura quiz you’d like to add.

     

  6. You will now see the video quiz added as a link in your course content

     

Step 2: Adjusting the Kaltura Quiz Settings

  1. You can adjust many Quiz elements by clicking on the gray arrow by the quiz name and clicking on Edit.

  2. From here you can adjust the Quiz name, availability, possible points, set a due date and add any description you would like students to see.

  3. The Points Possible field for a Kaltura Quiz refers to the maximum possible points that can be earned on the quiz. The possible points will be divided by the number of quiz questions (with a specified correct answer). For example, if the quiz has 4 T/F questions, and the Points Possible is 100, each question will be worth 25 points.

     

  4. Click Submit when complete.

  5. You’ll now see a Grade Center column has been created for your video quiz.
