Enterprise Content Management (ECM) / Document Management (DM)

The University Enterprise Content Management / Document Management System provides a central document repository for the storage and retrieval of important business documents. The document repository accepts most file formats; common formats, including PDF, MSWord, Excel, email, JPG, PNG, MP3, MP4, etc., are accessible based on security rules. Documents are accessible only to authorized users and View Only access may be granted, if desired.

How does ECM work?

Documents can be scanned into the system and indexed according to their properties. These properties, called metadata, can be used to filter or search for documents without the need for a traditional folder structure. Existing digital documents can be imported and indexed in the same way. Custom searches can be created to enable documents to be found quickly, and filtering allows entire groups of documents to be returned.
