Dual Employment Forms-Updated Policy 5/26/23
A Dual Employment Form is required when an employee holds an appointment with an external agency or when their FLSA status is Non-Exempt. If you are unsure of an employee’s FLSA status, please reach out and we can confirm.
FLSA is dictated by several factors, including an individual’s weekly pay and work being performed. In general, the following are true for UConn appointments:
Special Payroll appointments are FLSA Exempt
AAUP appointments are FLSA Exempt
For UCPEA appointments, FLSA status may be found on the Career Paths template on the HR webpage: https://hr.uconn.edu/job-template-library/.
Student labor appointments are FLSA Non-Exempt
