T/TT StartUp Package

CLAS Policy Regarding Tenure and Tenure-Track Start-up Package Funding 

1. The College will cover 80% of the total startup package

2. The Department will be responsible for 20% of the total startup package this may vary in appointments that are split between multiple units

3. Departments can pay for these funds from any of their unrestricted accounts

4. Departments can pay for funds upfront, within a year, or over multiple years (up to five years max)

5. Any packages related to department heads/directors will be funded entirely through the College

6. All packages involving institutes and centers are case-by-case situations in terms of when the department contributes versus when the Dean covers it entirely
